Our Ljubljana International Orchestra is hosting its 2023 orchestra academy in Slovenia, within the framework of the EU-project, Sounds of Change, a Creative Europe Project supported by the European Union.
The LIO 2023 Orchestra Academy provides curious, passionate and enthusiastic musicians with intensive programmes, developing personal potential and gaining invaluable experiences for the future. We are also inviting selected youth musicians from the Slovenian Youth Orchestra (Slovenski Mladinski Orkester / SMO) and Ukrainian youth musicians who have been included into SMO activities since March 2022, to rehearse and perform side-by-side with professional musicians, which is an invaluable experience and a unique opportunity for all, as it develops dynamics and supports the passion for musical reproduction.
The Sounds of Change project will cover the costs of accommodation, meals and cost of travel (arrival and departure for realising project activities) from the selected musician’s departure location, to and from Ljubljana (Slovenia).
This year’s educational programme is put together by LIO’s own chief conductor,
Živa Ploj Peršuh, in close collaboration with internationally renowned musicians
who have been invited to join the programme as music professors.
