SOUNDS OF CHANGE, 2022-2026 – is a European collaborative project that aims to cultivate an integrated professional development process for emerging European musicians in the orchestral field, supported by enhancing professional opportunities, increasing career visibility and transnational mobility, underpinned by a multidisciplinary artistic process with the use of key environmental and sustainability issues.

Inspired by the creation of an International Music Academy with the motto “Connecting through Music for Maribor – European Capital of Culture 2012”, that was established by the Culture Association BSA, the Sounds of Change EU project will build on this successful project, adding new layers and dimensions. Together with our partners from Portugal, Spain, Germany and Serbia, we aim to promote the arts as a tool to challenge the new generations to reflect on the future of Europe and to use this powerful tool for social transformation through interpersonal exchange, training, and personal development.

Our objective in this project is to enhance and nurture the co-creation of contemporary Slovenian and European culture. Our successful projects such as “Connecting through Music for Maribor, 2009-2012” and “Music Up Close Network, 2016-2020” have proven that we are a link between world-class artists and young musicians who are taking their first steps toward their professional careers. In Sounds of Change, we promote an artistic capacity building programme, focusing on artistic and technical skills for musical performance as well as stage design and cross-disciplinary performing tools.

MUSIC UP CLOSE Network – povezovanje orkestralne glasbe z mladim občinstvom je večletni projekt sodelovanja.
