Sounds of Change, a Creative Europe Project supported by the European Union, is announcing the Call for Circus Artists for Don Quixote, a European approach through circus:
This project will create a circus-based staging of Richard Strauss’ Quixote. The clown and stage director Lolo Fernández will be in charge of the direction and dramaturgy and the director, choreographer and performer Greta García. The show will be produced by Truca Circus, the stage company of Noletia (Spain).
The resulting show will combine a circus cast of six performers (including Greta García and Lolo Fernández) accompanied by an orchestra, conducted by Oscar Ferreira (OFP) and featuring Benedict Klöckner as solo cellist.
Sounds of Change aims to contribute to rethinking the Europe of the future in a sustainable environment that acknowledges the different identities and values that make up Europe. It is from this perspective that each of its projects and activities are created. Innovation, multidisciplinarity, staging work and the generation of professional experiences of international exchange are part of the spirit of Sounds of Change and the Quixote project.
